Sustainable Development

The principles of sustainable development are central to successful destination development. Balancing the demands of people, the environment and a sound business case is the challenge all destinations face while aiming to create long term, high value places.

Locum, as part of Colliers International, is committed to sustainable best practice both in what we do and how we do it. Locum Consulting is accredited with:

  • OHSAS 180

We are founding members of the UK Green Building Council and are business partners of the 10:10 campaign aiming to reduce carbon emissions by 10% in 2010.

Colliers Green Focus, our lead CSR initiative, is an educational programme and competition designed to encourage exploration of the environment and it’s challenges through photography. School groups participate in photography workshops with the best images displayed in an annual exhibition, previously held at the Royal Geographic Society.
